About iZs, inc.
IZS, Inc. is a privately held company based in Bellbrook, Ohio, consisting of two divisions:
iZs Press is dedicated to developing, promoting, and marketing young adult and children's fiction. iZs Press focuses its marketing efforts on web-based tools, including web pages, facebook, myspace, and blogs. Our first project in fiction was the publication of The Pirate of Panther Bay (http://www.pantherbay.com), a historical action romance novel set in 18th century Caribbean featuring Isabella, a teenage pirate captain. iZs Press no longer actively publishes books and currently focuses its efforts on marketing services to support the sales, distribution, and promotion of children's and young adult literature, including the Panther Bay series. Other projects currently under development include the Path of the Warrior series chronicling the martial arts exploits of Luke and Rachel as they fight against the bullies and gangs that have infiltrated their middle school; Gypsy an action novel set in a contemporary American inner city center tracing the attempts of Robyn, our protagonist, to counter a violent drug gang's attempts to control her neighborhood from the front seat of her black market taxicab; and Devil's Pointe, a coming of age story set in Tennessee where a young man must choose whether to reveal a closely held personal secret to protect his friends.
IZS Consult provides public relations, project management, and policy analysis services to private foundations, public policy think tanks, attorneys, local governments, and other organizations. iZS Consult has experience in project management, research, and regulatory reform in a wide range of public policy areas including land use, transportation, growth management, k-12 education, and economic development. Recent projects have included:
- Taxicab regulatory reform
- Economic impact of high speed rail
- Expert testimony on eminent domain takings of private property for economic development
- State economic development policy
- State and local tax policy
- Grant review and asset distribution plans & distribution
Samuel R. Staley, Ph.D., is president of iZs inc. and principal consultant for iZs Consult. He has more than 25 years of experience in writing, research, and policy analysis, earning his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University, his master's degree from Wright State University, and B.A. from Colby College. In addition to his consulting work, he teaches urban economics as an adjunct in the school of business administration at the University of Dayton.
